Technical Site Visit to the Upcoming International Sports Complex, Mankapur, Nagpur Successfully Conducted
The Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Nagpur Centre, successfully organized a Technical Site Visit to the upcoming International Sports Complex at Mankapur, Nagpur on Saturday, 9th May 2026.
The project is one of the major upcoming sports infrastructure developments in Nagpur, comprising a multi-sports arena, sports club, convention centre, swimming complex, and several indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
The site visit was coordinated in association with the project stakeholders, including representatives of the Architect, Project Management Consultant (PMC), Structural Designer, and officials from the Public Works Department (PWD). The participants received valuable technical insights into the planning, design, execution methodology, and construction practices adopted for this prestigious infrastructure project.
During the visit, members had the opportunity to interact with the project team, understand the engineering challenges involved, and observe the ongoing construction activities. The discussions provided practical exposure to modern construction techniques and project management practices used in the development of large-scale sports infrastructure.
The technical site visit was well appreciated by the participating members, who found the experience highly informative and beneficial.
