On April 2, 2025, the Department of Civil Engineering at G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Nagpur, successfully organized a technical seminar on “Modern Mapping Techniques: Advantage to the Construction Industry.” This event, held under the auspices of the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) student chapter, featured Dr. Sandeep Shirkhedkar, Director of imaGIS Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, as the esteemed speaker.

The seminar saw the participation of 100 students from the 4th and 6th semesters, providing them with valuable insights into advanced surveying techniques. Dr. Shirkhedkar covered crucial modern mapping methods such as Total Station, LiDAR, and GPS, highlighting their significant benefits for Civil Engineering students specializing in Surveying and Geomatics. The attendees found the session both informative and engaging.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Ashvini Tenpe, who extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mahesh V. Raut, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, for his unwavering support.
