Our team recently visited 5 major construction sites in Ahmedabad, primarily located in the prestigious GIFT City, to study the Diaphragm Wall Construction being executed for 3 to 6-level basement structures.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to closely observe and learn about:

• Trenching and excavation techniques
• Anchoring systems (both free and fixed length)
• Reinforcement cage placement
• Concreting methods and challenges
• Use of polymer slurry as an innovative alternative to bentonite
• Construction joint treatment practices
• Real-time on-site challenges and safety practices
• Cost effectiveness of diaphragm wall systems

It was truly an amazing and enriching experience for all the delegates, offering deep insights into modern-day deep excavation techniques and foundation engineering.
