


K.D.K. College of Engineering, Nagpur, in association with Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Nagpur Centre and multiple prestigious organizations, successfully organized a two-day International Conference on “Next-Generation Infrastructure: Green Technologies, Smart Cities, and Sustainable Energy Solutions” (IC-NGI-GSS 2025) on 9th and 10th May 2025 in hybrid mode.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Atul Vaidya, Vice-Chancellor of Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University (LITU), who emphasized that smart infrastructure is the need of the future. He highlighted the crucial role of innovation in urban planning, energy systems, and environmental technologies.

- Dr. Manmohan Kalgal (Technical Advisor, Ultratech Cement Pvt. Ltd.)
- Prof. Putul Haldar (IIT Ropar)
- Mr. Vishal Thombare (Coastal Road Dept., Mumbai)
- Mr. Simon Klint Bergh (COBOD International, Denmark)
Dr. Kalgal delivered a powerful keynote on “Construction 4.0”, elaborating on the integration of IoT, BIM, virtual/augmented/mixed reality, and wearable technologies in the construction industry — marking the 4th revolution in the sector.
Mr. Valsson Varghese, Principal & Chair of the conference, presented a special session on the college’s 40-year journey, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Prof. A.M. Badar, Prof. S.R. Satone, and Prof. Mahendra Umare. The event was gracefully anchored by Ms. Pallavi Bisen, and proceedings were also unveiled during the session.
